The Apostle Paul Damascus Road Salvation is, “a pattern of those who are about to be believing on Him” (1 Tim. 1:16). Salvation operates in spite of us, not because of us. As Grace and Truth overwhelmed Paul unto salvation in the midst of the worst acts, so it does in all of us whom have been overwhelmed buy the Faith to believe today.
We are all born stubborn (Rom 11:32), and apart from divine intervention, we stay that way. (Rom 3:11)
Not one is seeking out God. We are so helpless that God has to give us the very faith we need to seek Him (Romans 12:3).
Roman5:6-10 For Christ, while we are still infirm, still in accord with the era, for the sake of the irreverent, died. 7 For hardly for the sake of a just man will anyone be dying: for, for the sake of a good man, perhaps someone may even be daring to die, 8 yet God is commending this love of His to us, seeing that, while we are still sinners, Christ died for our sakes. 9 Much rather, then, being now justified in His blood, we shall be saved from indignation, through Him. 10 For if, being enemies, we were conciliated to God through the death of His Son, much rather, being conciliated, we shall be saved in His life.
Most English translations use the word reconcile in verse ten, this deludes many, and is a grievous error in God’s order. It is in fact the word conciliated (meaning God by sovereign right proclaims peace (wholeness) with all mankind, because of the death of His Son, Jesus Christ).
The death of the Son of Man produces peace (conciliation) alone, because of death there is resurrection. Not by our works, on the contrary in-spite of our work. The idea of renewing the mind is best understood in replacing the source from which judgment comes, not making the old new. God is a God of sources and favors His order of things.
The English word reconcile is really conciliation: to compound the difference, to make different source.
G2644 καταλλάσσω
katallassō kat-al-las’-so
From G2596 and G236; to change mutually, that is, (figuratively) to compound a difference: – reconcile.
As compared to:
G604 ἀποκαταλλάσσω
apokatallassō ap-ok-at-al-las’-so
From G575 and G2644; to reconcile fully: – reconcile, uncover what is
(Eph 2:15-18) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might reconcile (G604) both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (17) And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (18) For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Now look to the example of the two words reconcile in English translation:
(II Cor 5-16-20) KJV
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Now to see how it should read taking the differing of the word concordantly, and not trying to make them one word like the English translators do:
(II Cor 5:16-20) CLNT
16 So that we, from now on, are acquainted with no one according to flesh. Yet even if we have known Christ according to flesh, nevertheless now we know Him so no longer. 17 So that, if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: the primitive passed by. Lo! there has come new! 18 Yet all is of God, Who conciliates us to Himself through Christ, and is giving us the dispensation of the conciliation, 19 how that God was in Christ, conciliating the world to Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them, and placing in us the word of the conciliation. 20 For Christ, then, are we ambassadors, as of God entreating through us. We are beseeching for Christ’s sake, “Be conciliated to God!
The problem with man is he dies; the problem is solved by resurrection. The purpose of God in the death of His son is resurrection. We should see that order of God is Death for resurrection, anyone who dies will be resurrected by the promise of God, which is His order.
As in First Adam all die as in the Last Adam all shall be made alive. The Same All in the First is in the Last.
Here is a mystery that I pray the many now have the light. Men should not fear death, for this keeps them bound to it. (Mat 10:39-40) He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. (40) He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
What must be enforced as dead? The thing that must be enforced as dead is residual self-image which is independent judgment, or what some have called individual sovereignty. This idea is the mind of the serpent which is self-exaltation; it must see its death in Christ. Its very idea of independence from God must be understood as destroyed. It is this self-one who assumes the place of God in us – the temple of God. This is the instead of Christ one. It seeks a place above the throne of God – which is in you. It exalts its sense driven, experience judgment above the knowledge of God and above everything that is issued out of God. This is one in whom men have trusted to make their way in life. It’s every idea and foundation must be utterly consumed away at the appearing of Christ in men hearts.
Through fear of death men are subject to bondage. Why fear what is death, when Life is the standard, death is just the door unto the Standard. And this is order of things.
The soul that sins must die; it is through death that we have life. This is the order of things.
The Serpents Message is you shall not surely die, beginning in men the mind of the serpent to fight the death. If the last mankind would of fought of the death, then there would be no resurrection. The serpent exceedingly troubled his soul with this, but he prevails by embracing and not fearing the death.
Not my will be done, but yours be done. Then the angels came unto Him and ministered unto Him.
